I've got something goin on with my fuel gauge or sending unit. Spec sheet for my truck shows a 26 gal tank.
Stopped at a gas station to fill up from around 1/8th of a tank and could only squeeze in 17 gallons.
The math says I should have 3 1/4 gallons when I stopped which puts me at around 20 gallons now.

Any ideas to what the issue could be? The only thing I can come up with is something is goin on with the float on the sending unit

Yep, on my old chevy truck (may she rest in pieces) it stated a 28 gal tank but I would fill up at 1/4 full and put in 25 gals. I dont beleave they figure in line cap, fliter, etc, when they do tank size.
