have a 2000 ext cab 1500 4x4 my question is what price range would it be around to change out my 3.55 gears to 4.10 or 4.56 can find price on gears but what is total cost for install by a experienced mechanic?Dont think i would want to try this myself.Has anyone done this?how much did it cost?

$700 to $1k per axle, including the parts. may be able to find it around $500 total per axle if you shop around and maybe bring in the axles off the truck

You're loooking at about 6.5 hours for both axles, times that by what ever your local shops labor rate is
