I just found out I have 3.55 gears. And I'm running 35" tires. Though I had 3.73s but don't. So I wanna get these switched out. But I don't know whether to go with 4.10s or 4.56. But I drive highway alot. 60mph. Wondering rpm with both and do I need a ring and pinion for front and rear. Just want some thought

I can't comment on tire size, but you definitely need to regear both axles. I've got 4.10 on stock rim and tire height. I'm under 2 grand at 65 though.

I have 4.10's with 35's. Honestly couldn't tell you my rpm and speed correctly since my speedo is off from my tires lol at 2,000 my speedo says I'm 65 but I know I'm going faster than that when I can keep up with interstate traffic...are you referring to the gears in your 360 or 12v?

Its a 2500 judging by his name, so he doesn't have a v8 if he has 3.55 gears.

V10 or diesel-3.55
v8 2500's-4.10

He has a 2500 with a 360 that has a turbo, that's why I was asking while his profile says 12v. But yes I've seen 2500 360 w/ 3.55's as well.

Just for the record, I meant to say under 3 grand. This phone changes everything I type.

i have 315 tires, which i think is 34" tall or close too

anyway, i have 4.56 gears and a spicer limited slip in the back

if your going to spend the money, go 4.56 . Its like 4.10s on steroids!

4.56 gears make it easier for your motor and easier on your drivetrain.

plus its fun sometimes to throw like 225 tires and go out and do some hooning! :naughty::flipthebird:

I've seen lots with 3.55s

Not with a v8. V8 was 4.10

I have had a few gear ratios and tire sizes. 4.10 is still my favorite for my speeds, roads and how my motor is built.

Sorry didn't want to sound like an ass for contradicting you.

I believe newrammer said he has 3.55s and his is a V8 2500. Also pulled the vins off 2 trucks on craigslist that were V8 2500s. I know build sheets aren't always reliable considering they call a rear D60 a 200MM axle, but here they are.
