Well, I'm attempting to replace my water pump and serpentine belt tomorrow. Any tips or maybe even a good how-to video? And any or all hoses I should replace with it?

Well.......

Tip#1 Turn the motor off.

Lmao Just messing bud.

The only hose I can think of off the top of my head is the little baby hose from the pump itself to the top of the motor. That little guy is known to crack when you pull it off since it is pre molded. Think it is only a few bucks. Other than that just have fun removing the entire front of the motor. That accessory bracket isn't really that light either. It has some weight to it.

Okay thanks, is there a name for that hose? Or just the "little baby hose"?

I replaced mine a while back, and all I remember was that I purchased a new waterpump without the pully. Then while attempting to remove the pulley from the old one and install it onto the new one, I found I could not remove the old pully, and damaged the hell out of it trying with the puller. Then had to buy another water pump that came with the pully... FML

Didn't know they sold them without the pulley.

Oh and on an extra note. The fan clutch and fan needs a special tool.

Now that I'm thinking hard about it, that might have actually been the power steering pump. I know I changed the water pump and power steering pump within 1 month of each other so they're kind of running together in my head. Durp-dee-durr!

bahahahahaha!!!!

No it looks like a wrench with 2 pins. You have to hold the pulley in place and turn the nut. only way to hold the pulley is with a 2 pin type tool AZ might have it to rent not sure. I had mine made for that use. And I just took the hose in and said I need one of these. I have no clue what it is called. Its like a connecting hose. lol

If you're buying a remanufactured water pump, you'll need to check if your water pump has the pulley pressed on or if its bolted on. If you're buying a brand new one, it'll have the pulley pressed on already and it won't matter what you have on your truck now.

And the baby hose is probably going to be listed as a water pump bypass hose lol

318 or 5.2 which ever you want
When I took the fan and clutch off my truck I just smacked the wrench with a hammer and it popped lose no tool needed. May or may not work for you.

^^^Possible.

When I did that I left the belts and everything on to make resistance and all i did was spin the pulley.
