Just bought 2000 dodge ram 1500 5.9 v8 with 4wd problems for cheap. Been driving fine then de ided to start slowely repairing when i have the money. I open front cad and found a hose clamp holding shift fork so i can lock axles together, which tells me i have alot on my hands..now my tc started making crazy noises so not knowong much of what im doing i went on craigslist and bought another that said np231 like mine.. it a np231c. Im guessing for chevy? Anyone k ow if it will fit in mine? Also i aquired a np231d hd, on the metal factory tag but on top on a sticker it seys new venture gear 242. Any help on what is cheapest fix to get running or what i should do to make one of them fkt for as cheap as possible would be great.. thanks
