How to get that mean rough idle sound?

Is there a trick to getting that mean sounding rough idle out of a V8? My Silverado has that sound but it was rebuilt a few years ago and has about 455 HP, not sure what all was done to it at the time.

Whats the Data-Log on one of those 455 HP Silverado's? Only way to get the rough Cam idle sound is to put in such a Cam and supporting Mods / Breathing in/Out.

all I know is it was built from the stock 350 block up, and 455HP was what the Dyno read, I think at 5000 rpm. It will stall out if it gets lower than 1800 rpm, and if I kill it, it won't start for a good 20mins. I really wish I knew more about it, but grandpa was the one who did it and he passed away last fall and the only way I could really find out is to tear into it my self, and that's not happening unless I absolutely have to.

Are you referring to the 454 big block? (Vortec 8100)?

Here is what mine sounded like for a while. I have since cut the exhaust just behind the cab.

You want that rough idle...disconnect a spark plug, nah jus messing , (cam swap)

Knock off the exhaust, have the timing wrong, choke out the air, or build the motor with a healthy cam.
