hey guys, I have a 99 2500 gas. question, truck cranks good and runs good but after idling a few minutes it becomes sluggish and sounds like the carb is sucking a lot of air and does not idle good. I can shut it off and start it and it does fine but begins pulling air after idling a couple minutes. any ideas? thanks

Can see my thread here http://www.ramforum.com/f61/plenum_intake_plate_time-104654/

Yours sounds like more of a plenum issue however I thought that was mine as well. Does need to be replaced but the IAC I think was the one that fixed mine. If your RPMs bounce and you have surging the IAC might be your culprit. The sucking in air sound can just be from idle changes.

If you can pull of the throttle body like I did in that thread shine a light down in it and take a picture.

You didn't post any mileage which can make a difference.
