Injectors?

Hey everyone, got my manifold some fresh bolts and no exhaust leaks anymore so she's not running as rich! Looking to find some better injectors for her and also wondering if they're suppose to be loud or not

Why do you need new injectors? Factory ones support quite a bit of power until you start going with big heads or boost.
And old injectors can get noisy, doesn't mean they're dying though.

And old injectors can get noisy, doesn't mean they're dying though.

I have 231k and try look original to me so I want to replace them all. Just wondering if there is a better one for an unmodified 5.2

Waste of money. If you think something is wrong with them, ohm test. Look for 11-15 ohms. Noise is nothing to worry about. Changing to aftermarket injectors is a quick way to **** **** up. PCM has specific pulse widths and operating ranges that it works with and changing the injectors, which will have different flow rates and frequencies and such, and the PCM won't be able to trim the and correct the a/f ratio.
Factory or bust.

Only time aftermarket injectors are a good idea is if you have a stroker or boosted engine and the custom tuning that goes along with said builds.

I mean I have low end noise too pull the block and build it haha, maybe one day but just get factory replacements for it? It's not the noise that I'm worried about its the age of them and if they work correctly anymore

If you're not having drivability problems and no 02 codes or anything for lean conditions you're fine. If an injector starts failing you'll get misfires or if it fails completely a dead cylinder

WitchHunter Performance - Injector Cleaning & Flow Testing Services

If you are really interested in finding out if the injectors are bad/good send them here cleaned, new seals, and flow tested and they will provide all the information you need to assure you they are good or bad.

$22 per injector and peace of mind.

before you replace them make sure they are bad.

Our 11 Step process includes the following:


1) Injectors are externally cleaned, visual inspected, and numbered.


2) Test injectors for resistance, shorts, and current draw.


3) Perform leak test, spray pattern, resistance while operating, and flow testing, (both pulsed and static), on one of our flow benches. Our modified test machines are set up specifically for various types of injectors.
The test results are recorded.


4) Remove filter baskets, o-rings, pintle caps, etc. Bead-blast paint and rust from the metal injector body.


5) The injectors are placed in our first ultrasonic cleaning tank to remove any particles, grease, etc from the exterior that may contaminate the next two cleaning processes.


6) Into the second temperature controlled ultrasonic tank they go, the injectors are now cycled on and off allowing the ultrasonic energy to dislodge any particles and build-up inside the injectors.


7) The injectors are now placed in our third ultrasonic tank for additional cleaning using a different cleaning solution. Once again they are being cycled on and off while being cleaned.
This three tank, two cleaning solution cleaning process insures that any particles or contaminates are removed.

8) A high pressure back-flush is now done to remove any remaining particles inside.


9) Back to the flow bench for retesting of spray pattern, flow rate, coil resistance, and leak checking.
If any injectors still are not flowing well, they will go back through the cleaning process and retested as many times as needed.
This test data is also recorded.


10) Install new filter baskets, o-rings, seals, and pintle caps (where applicable)


11) Prepare a comprehensive test report with before and after test data. The injectors are then packed along with the old parts for return.
