in my first thread i was using a 4" 90 degree elbow but the bend was to tight to clear my hoses under the hood so i got rid of the that. My buddy gave me a less drastic 3" bend and some flexible tubing and i went and got a 4" to 3" rubber coupler and here's the result. Tell me what you think, its my first try so opioins are appreciated.

Correct, the air filter is in the rectangular box.

Now you'd be better off getting a hat for the intake and running a cone filter on the end of your tubing.

Watch out for water so it don't get sucked up into your engine also!

Cold air intakes don't do much for our engines because of the barrel intake. It functions as sort of an air resevoir so all the cold air that goes in is engine temp by the time it reaches the combustion chamber.

Need to get a Durango/Dakota air hat and stick a cone filter on. Also with the ribbed piping its makes the air more turbulent going into the intake, IMO the smoother the better.

But otherwise not bad ingenuity there

i know that a hat and cone filter would be better but i pretty much got all this stuff for free so that's why i did it. the water was something i was thinking bout but im not going of road anytime soon so im not to worried about it. i did notice a gain in acceleration though, enough to keep it on.

I would put something on the end of the pipe though, maybe a knee high panyhose. That would help for debri and water getting sucked up
