Ok so after a year and a half my cylinder 7 misfire is back. And just before the gtg. Ok so I need thoughts on a possible solution. I did seafoam because that is what helped last time. But not working this time. Only seems to happen at low rpm and cold start. Any thoughts? I do have a canned tune loaded. Im gonna flash back to stock to see if it changes or helps. But till then any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks

Have you checked your injectors? Maybe one is bad or starting to stick. I need to change one of mine. No missfires for me yet though.

That was suggested last time and I swapped injectors around but the problem didnt follow the injectors. Last time this happened i had someone suggest a compression test. And it came out to be 180psi on that cylinder alone. So I sea foamed and the problem went away.

Do you hear a ticking on idle? Mine is doing this. If yours is use one of the automotive stethoscopes to pin point your sticky injector. If you hear a ticking.

Only ticking I hear is the normal injector tick that it has always made. I'll listen to it a little closer.

Not yet. Was going to do that after work. Last time I pulled it it was fine. Looked a little rich last time. But that was a few years back. My first thought was a fowled plug.

HELL NO!!! I'm bringing the dam truck. No ladder excuses from this guy. lmao

Besides going down the highway it has no issues. Just at low RPM and idle. I'll get it fixed one way or another. But I will be there. Lookin at about 10AM at your house btw.

Well just an update.

Last night I pulled the #7 plug out. It was looking a little worn. Not running lean. Not Running rich. Wasn't exactly a perfect burn but still looked ok. But after looking at it a little closer I found that there was a large amount of buildup on the tip. I also noticed where the center elctrode is has worn really bad. So looks like I am going to be doing plugs tonight when I get off work.

Also for kicks and giggles I swapped #7 and #5 to see if the miss moved to be sure it was the plug. Yup Miss has moved to #5. Also the plug was WAAAYYYYYYY out of Gap. Gap on the thing was almost .060

^^^Yup looks that way. Getting all new plugs tonight. I'm gonna price wires.

But what would make a brown color on the tip of the plug wires?

sound like a heat or rust thing... Grey boot with a brownish color?

If I'm going to do that....

* Cap (Carbon tracks can cause some hell.)
* Rotor (I've seen rotor burn though to the shaft!)
* Wires (8mm if you can afford them)
* Spark Plugs (Typical throw Champions in)

Well.....
Just finished the install. New Champion copper plugs. Wires were 7mm and yes brown with a grey boot. Checked the cap and looked good. No tracks in the cap and the rotor looked good.

Started up and ram smooth. Ill take it for a drive after bit. But all the plugs were burning god but were brown?
