I have an extra stock kegger intake laying around and want to look into modifying it... What can I do to get more air into it compared to stock? I figure I need to bore it out in someway but where and how much is the question...

The common modifications for a kegger are to shorten the runner length which will help with your top end power.

You can obviously clean up the casting in the runners, You can also gasket match the ports and the TB mount. Of course, this only works if you do the work to the heads and TB respectively.

Some people also fill the plenum with epoxy to create a smaller plenum area, again, helpful for high end, but hurts the low end.

I have been reading a diy a little bit that I just found, it says to cut the runners an 1"-1.25" at a 45 degree angle. Does that sound right?

I saw the same thread. Have also read on the 5.9 you can pretty much cut them flush but idk much about it.

I did that mod, didn't cut them back that much but did take out the center divider. It helped a bit, I cant really tell how much as I also fixed the plen leak, added an MSD 5 and Blaster 2 coil <pics to follow soon> But I highly suggest doin the plem fix with the plate if your going to mod it also. That way when you put it on your done.
