I have a nearly stock 02 ram with a 5.9l 360 that needs a power upgrade. I want this truck to be a badass mopar. It came with a magnaflow catback exhaust that has been beat up over the years. I'm thinking about adding these parts: new magnaflow thunder series catback, jba shorty headers, Nitrous express nos kit, spectra intake with Airaid thottlebody spacer, And a programmer. Does anyone have any input on what else I should get? This is also a budget build. Can anyone tell be how much hp I could get?

A big NO on the throttle body spacer. I would build up the internals if you plan on adding NOS to it.

Top 3 mods that should be done first, besides general maintenance stuff.
1. Intake (Out vendor 3rd Strike Performance is actaully running a group buy sale on intakes right now)
2. Exhaust (looks like a good setup you have choosen)
3. Programmer (I would recommend a Superchips)

What Luke said. The TB spacer is a waste of money

What should I do to the internals? New camshaft or heads?

How bout a lower end kit! Get some pistons and rods that can handle the extra juice!

If you want badass moose then what's your budget is a good question. To make an over the top build stroke that beast and custom tune and you will have one awesome machine!! But of short on cash the above mods are a good start. For about 2-3k you can build the top end pretty stout and get good performance. But your mpgs will probably suffer.

i have close to 4k just in my top end. it takes a good bit to make these fat trucks get up and go. just now getting it to run faster than my stock hemi durango. but it does sound better and revs alot quicker.

if you want a fast truck, you need to start with a good 408 stroker motor.

Do I really need a bottom end setup? I thought that nos just cooled the incoming air to get more air in.
