Hi my nsme is joshua i have a 98 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.2 318 i having missfire once in a while i did all the plug an wires an cap an rotar
Check an change the uper gasket
An still having a missfire tried doing a fuel pressure check an i have between 45 an 49 psi any advice please

sure you got the plug wires in the correct spot on the rotor?

If he switched a pair of wires, he'd have a hell of a lot more than an "occasional" misfire, LOL.

If they're all wrong, the engine won't even start. Ask me how I know, LOL.

Check the number 8 or 7 spark plug and pull number 1 or 2 for comparison. If 7 or 8 are a lot more fouled than 1 or 2, compression test it. You changed the plenum gasket?

Ok, we at least you got the plenum out of the way. Short of doing a compression test on the cylinders, i'd be a little slow on figuring out where to go next.

If you did the plugs before the intake gaskets it may have fouled one. I would pull them and make sure they all look good

Double check wire routing. Crossing wires can lead to cross talk and misfires. Also what kind of plugs did you use?
