So I went to the store this morning and when I was backing out I noticed a really small pool of oil where I was parked. So then I was heading home and my oil pressure guage dropped and the check guage light came on. Oil pump is fine and I have oil pressure. My question is, could the sending unit cause the leak and sudden loss of pressure at the gauge?

Well the oil is new. And is right where it should be lol. I dont know man. The guage just quit. But I'm still making pressure. No loss of power or anything out of the ordinary. Other than the slight oil leak anyway.

I'd clean up the engine and see where its leaking from. Then go from there.

The leak started right before the guage went out. That's why I'm guessing it's the sending unit
