Would the pushrods and rockers need to be replaced with the install of a cam? Also would it need custom tuning rather than just a SC Flaspaq? Been throwing this idea around for a while just not sure where the hell to start...

pushrods should be measured. and yes you should change your rockers to adjustable ones. though i am still using non adj. they just so happened to work just right for me. i got lucky.

and it depends on how aggressive you go with your cam if you need a tuner or not. though a tuner would aways be better.

I read when replacing your cam to automatically replace your lifters as well, sound right to you?

just search that site over. almost all the stuff listed will work on your truck. and it will help you decide on different parts. its all about where you want to be in the end. it took me probably about 3 or 4 months to accumulate my parts. just buy a piece here and there till you get it all together. but there will always be things you forget so have a little cash on hand when you tear it down. heck i have had my s/c for about 2 monthes now and still getting other stuff to do the install the way i want to. just donnt rush. and do alot of googleing.

When building an engine remember if all your parts don't work in the same RPM range your only hurtin yourself. I.E. getin a more lift and duration cam but stayin with the stock heads, or getin bigger fuel injecters but not going with a tuner.
Sucks to say but with the comps controlling the engine mangment if your wantin to do a cam save up some more money and due tuner, heads, injecters and headers at same time. Dont need new heads depending on size of cam but port and gasket match them to your intake. This will help flow and increase HP& TQ with out hurting MPG always a plus in my opn.
Speed cost, how fast can you afford to go??

she has no idea how much. she knows i have added some stuff to it. but no real clue. all the stuff i get, my son comes home and gets it all, and puts it away for me.lol

the thing she really gets aggravated about is how much it just sits around while we pay full coverage insurance. heck it hasnt even been started for about a month now.she sure donnt gripe when i add stuff to her durango though.
