So I have as many others do a 1500 with a bad plenum gasket, and a plugged cat. I'm not ready to do the gasket fix yet but I need to fix my cat so I can run smooth again, and not be the gutless wonder. If I install a new cat it'll just get ruined. I have a muffler guy who can pull the cat and put in a straight pipe. I still plan on doing it, so is there any considerations I should take? I know it'll flip the CEL, no biggy to me. I don't drive it a ton, and don't plan to run it cat-free for more than a couple months. Maybe through the winter. Want to put a mangaflow cat on. Thanks.
