So a few of yall know I had some problems with my 360 Magnum. cam bearings, lifters, rod bearing, blown head gasket, and cracked heads.. I use the term "some" lightly. Well anyways, now that my engine is nearly done, my dads is going out. Same problem with what is probably a lifter and there's either a blown head gasket or cracked head (moisture in the oil). Were talking about while were re building his engine in a couple weeks, picking up a crate 360 to build so that if we ever have any problems in the future with either truck, we can just swap right then and there. So my question is, is the 360 Magnum from a 2000 any different than the one from an 02 3rd gen??

None that I know of. Supposedly the throttle bodies are slightly different and possibly some vacuum stuff, but over all, they SHOULD be the same.

Yeah I'm not concerned about a throttle body really lol. But I was concerned because where we ordered the rebuild kits from, the part numbers were different for the two engines. So idk. Them again my kit was wrong. Haha. Maybe that would have something to do with it

Well, if you know what truck the engine is out of, you can always order parts based on that.
