what are some quick and easy ways to check if a plenum has been done or needs to be done?? what are some other pre trip inspection stuff to look up before buying

Most people remove the intake tube from the top of the TB, crack open the blades and look inside for oil

If you really want a "factory test"....and have the proper tools.

Thanks for linking him up with the TBS. Just because you see oil in the plenum doesn't mean it is a gasket. On my 5.9 Limited Jeep I had oil in the plenum
& it turned out to be the PCV that was sucking it in. Changed that & used this link to check it. Very simple test.
