Lately my 97 ram 1500 with 5.2 has been giving me troubles starting. I'll go to start it and it will run then die immediately unless I give some throttle for a min or son then it'll run fine. And every once in a while it'll act like it'll stall that run like normal again usually when warm. It has stalled on me in the past when driving. And usually it'll start up without an issue if you let it sit for an hour after trying. I'm thinking bad idle air control valve. What do you all think?

IAC is a common problem, if you replace it, just make sure to get a good quality replacement, lots of problems with cheap replacements.

Another possibility is the throttle position sensor, those go out but far less often.
