My '96 360 is making a sucking noise when I turn the truck off. Any ideas what may be causing this?

Yes...check your wallet...cash will be missing or your credit card balance is higher.

Could be aq coolant leak or system bleed down into the expansion tank.

It started doing this after I replaced the water pump and it has been getting worse on mileage ever since. What kind of price am I looking at on a fix for this?

Is that the only time you hear that sound? Where does it sound like its coming from?

Yes I'm using antifreeze and yes that is the only time I hear it. It sounds like it may be coming from around the air filter housing.

Check those vacuum lines around the TB and see if any are dry rotted or broken. Also, make sure your air filter housing is properly seated to the top of the TB. I know when I had the factory set-up on mine, I had to double up on those gaskets to get a good seal all the way around

Isn't there plenum or manifold gasket issues on these many times?

I went and took a look and the air filter housing seems a little loose, I'm going to mess with it tomorrow and see what i can do. I have heard that 2nd gen rams have plenum issues and i hope i don't have to change mine any time soon, it just deems like a pain to replace.

Yeah there is on the Magnum series engines. But I've never seen them cause a truck to use antifreeze or make any sounds. Just loss of MPG's and some power and an increased use of oil

My 96 did this and was a bad gasket for the air breather. Just got a new one and made sure it was seated right and problem solved. Make sure the hose is connected to the bottom of airfilter housing too
