1997 1500 5.2 v8 4x4
my buddy's truck just died (essentially haha)
he was driving then all of a sudden his idler pulley went, it shredded the belt and his transmission went all at the same time. Truck now idles in neutral and park(after belt and pulley replaced), when put in gear to drive forward it goes 50ft and slips out of gear. then he will put it into reverse drive in reverse for a little bit and then that wont work either. we tried disconnecting the 8 pin connector, put it in 1st and drove for a little bit longer, but then it stopped. the fluid level is fine and the tv cable is free. fluid maybe smells a little burnt but nothing to bad. There are no codes. Also it almost bogs and the truck will almost shut off. Any help is much appreciated
