Have a 99 1500 with the 5.9 360 that I am on my second tranny with and it has also recently went out . I am tired of the issue and am looking to solve it. I'm looking to upgrade to a more heavy duty trans. Any advice on what I should go to?

Depends on your budget. From what I've read, the viper is the rebuild to go to, but I've never had one rebuilt. dodge dude will probably chime in here sometime today, he knows more on them than I do.

Of course that's the best way to go, most people either don't want to drive stick or can't afford it. Me, I sold my auto to pay for a 5 speed though
