Transmission swap options?!

Hello, i am a new member of the forum and have been reading through alot of threads. i have a 1999 ram 2500 4x4 auto 5.9 magnum. i am looking to swap a new transmission into the truck but would like more gears without swapping to a standard trans. are there any options out there or am i out of luck on this one?

Sol sorry to say. klum over/under drive might work.

Thats what i figured. Thanks for the reply and ill look into that. I will probably end up saving up for a cummins later on !

I forgot someone posted on here that they had seen a Allison auto behind a maggy motor, I have no info or links or proof but you might try a search about it.

Did some reading and the common take is $6k + for the transmission . Better to save 6 and put it toward a good old CTD

maybe regearing would help a bit for onroad use. Thanks again
