5.9 magnum
I'm a fan of the forum. I find it helpful so maybe someone can help me. I have a 99 ram magnum motor. 5.9, new pick up coil, plugs, wires , cap and rotor. A new IAC. I've tested compression. 150 acrossed the board. Feul pressure is 50. I've tested view data on TPS, perfectly responsive through out all throttle range. Good vacuum on MAP and correct resistance through the crank sensor. Haven't checked engine timing, don't have ant noids to check injector pulse. However the smell of gas is present. No lights on dash. Problem with truck; lost power on highway slowly. Exited highway, at the park and ride it would barely stay running. Got a cylinder 5 misfire code. Reset the computer and it drove fine for 5 miles and then stopped moving. Started barely running, got engine ping and it quit. Now it sits in the drive way only starting at WOT. Won't run but starts easily. It may stay running for 5-10 seconds sucking air hard and fowling out with fuel. Has symptoms of several problems, though I've tested each or replaced with no fix! Ready for the junk yard.
