Went to go leave today and my truck won't start. Had my dad jump me but still won't. All lights will turn on, but when I try to turn the truck over nothing happens. No noice no nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

I say a bum starter or wiring going to the starter.

But doesn't it usually make a clicking noise if the starters is bad? The truck isn't making any noise

Not if the solenoid is out or the wiring is buggered up. Only will click if it's just not getting enough power like the battery being dead.

Is there a way to test that since I can't drive my truck to a shop?

You can try unplugging the coil wire and taking a battery to jump it off directly to the starter. If the starter turns, you've got an issue somewhere else between it, the battery and the ignition switch.

Got it running by tapping the starter with a hammer while my dad turned it over. Now I gotta by a new starter and put it in
