Hello all, Ill soon be dropping a spare motor i have into my 1997 ram 2500 as the one in it is dickered. Its a 1997 5.9 360 getting replaced with a 1998 5.9 360. Backed up by a 46RE.The new engine is non-AC, and I intend to convert it. Seems possible. Im also going to do a ton of things to the new engine going in. (All gaskets/seals, oil pump, water pump, tchain, etc)
I know I have to swap the intake over and possibly the headers since 1998 has EGR and my motor does not. Might do ebay headers unless anybody convinces me not to, never heard anything about em.
Thoughts? advice? What am I getting myself into?
