So this is what the Plenum looked like after taking off.
The gasket looked pretty darn good. It was not broken or pushed in/out anywhere.

Wonder if that is PCV valve "spray" pattern?
Anyone have an idea?
Believe I replaced it after I bought the truck less than 2 years ago. But not positive and could not find a receipt. Since pretty darn cheap, I'll grab one at AutoZone today.

Just curious what of your all thoughts.

That looks a lot like PCV spray IMO. It doesn't look bad, but hey, who knows if it would have been 5K down the road.

So what are the symtoms of a blown gasket.

Oil consumption, pinging from the center of the dash, dead cylinder 7 and or 8, air hissing noise depending on how bad it is, lack of power at speed, excessive crankcase vacuum.
