4x4 indicator switch?

Is this the 4x4 indicator switch and if so will there be any fluid coming out if I take it out to try and clean it? My 4x4 light in the cluster is not working and I was told u can take them out to clean

That is not the 4wd switch. The 4wd switch is found on the front diff pass side in the CAD housing. Does 4wd work? You might have a broken vac line somewhere.

Yeah it works but the light on the dash dont.does anyone have a pic of were tbis is at.having a hard time finding it

Here you go, front diff pass side. Yes a small amount of oil will come out but I mean small.

I thought it was on the transfer case But its on the front diff.thanks I will take that off and clean it and see if that will work.

Hey I had the same problem where my 4wd stayed on no matter what and it was the first pic in this thread that fixed mine... it came off when I was backing over a snow berm..as soon as I put the red and black connecters back over the tubes it worked as it should again..

Yeah you guys said it all, i must say that you will need rtv to reseal the actuator housing. And don't break it, they aren't cheap.
