Alright so I've had some real electrical demons lately with my truck. I just wired some halo/projector headlights in my truck and noticed that I have a current leak somewhere in my harness. I seriously worked for probably a total of 30 hours and came up with nothing. Now my fog lights aren't even coming on. I'm assuming it's a ground somewhere. My indicator in the dash comes on, I know the relay activitates and is good, fuse is good, bulbs are good, and I've eliminated the possibility of the switch being at fault. So my question is what grounds do I need to be checking? Or are there possibilities other than the ground? I'm really hoping that this will solve my headlight problem as well. This seems to be a pretty common problem on these trucks but it's normally the switch from what I've seen. Any help is appreciated.

Well I figured out the problem. For anyone wondering, it was the ground wire going into the connector (picture attached). The wire literally just pulled right out. So now all is well. Well almost. Unfortunately that didn't solve the problem with my halos but no worries. Not causing any real trouble.

Well, just figure out how to shove it back in there and secure it and you should be good to go.

That's probably something you can blame on your dad.

:D

Lmao you're probably right about my dad but I won't say anything. Just kinda glad I found it.
And I think I'm just going to connect it directly. I see no reason to use the plug really.

Bleh, I'd say it in a backhand way like I always do. :uhoh2:

Just make sure you heat shrink and grease everything properly so the wires don't get corroded.

Not really. And to be honest I think I'll leave it how it is. Not common for me to do but it's become a constant headache and it's not a huge problem. It's almost no voltage going through them. Not enough to drain the battery after a week straight. And I basically drive everyday. So maybe I'll come across some exposed wires one day and fix them. But for now I'm done. Lol

Eh, never been a fan.
I've always wanted projectors or Euro lights, but the projector lights are ugly and the Euro lights never work.

Most definitely. To each their own. The debacle you're having with your halos has just further convinced me it's way too much effort. lol
