today on my home from work i was listening to my radio and i had it up pretty loud with bass going too, all of a sudden it went from loud to soft i could hear my music but it was like someone cut it down then after a few mins or so it comes back on loud like it was, what is up with that...im thinking it might have something to do with the wires or the wires hooked up to my amp? i do know my two big speakers their seal are broke if that has anything to do with it..btw my volume was to the max it would go which is 38 and whenit went out it was soft on 38

Holy crap thats loud. Highest I get on my stereo is 25 and that is sometimes way to much. Do you have amps to the speakers too or just the subs?

Gotcha, the loud button is just adjusting the low, mid, and highs. Same volume but adjusting them makes it louder.
Hopefully someone can come along and help ya out.

I'm thinking that a wire came loose off of your amp and then rattled back into place. Is there a screw that holds the wire down to keep the connection? If so it might have just loosened up over time or your loud music could have done it to lol

Shoot a pic of your amp and wiring, depending on the age and output your speakers are demanding the amp could have died. I have gone through one amp a few years ago.

so it was just your subs that stopped playing? The other speakers stayed the same volume?

Make sure your amp isn't overheating. My car does the same thing when my amp overheats. You have plenty of ventilation around the amp?

If it was all the speakers and the mids and highs aren't amped, then its probably the deck about to crap out on ya. Or the deck itself got too hot.

Hopefully it was just that the deck overheated. I can tell you that troubleshooting stereo problems can be very frustrating

well my radio acted up just a little bit i had it on a descent level of volume, and this time it went up louder, so im guessing it has to be the wiring :( that means i have to take out my whole front seat just work with my amp & wires

the speakers up underneath my back seat i think are subs not sure never saw them, but i think one of my other speaker sounded busted but it might have been the ones other the backseat i think there is a loose wire somewhere i just have to find it
