anybody know where I could get a single sub box for my truck? I just want one under the back seat. I see all kinds of duals but I want a single.

Anyone seen one yet?

Doesn't matter on size. I have a 12 already but it's a pretty deep sub. My truck is a 98 QC.

Not really a wanted thread more of a does it exist question. lol

I have the JL StealthBox with a 10" and I love it. Almost too much for the truck.

Well then. Sounds like a new art to learn. lmao. Or maybe I can make an MDF version.

I looked into the JL one I seen one home made before which I would like to do because they don't come in tan. So Looks like further investigation is needed. hmmmmmmmmm anybody have the formula for the enclosure to sub ration for air movement.

amount of air space is different for subs. some require more air space and some require less. If making a sealed enclosure the sub will require less.

Ok good to know. Now I just have to figure out what mine needs if I can fit it in the space. I think I may go with the hidden option under the center seat. I have been thinking about it for a while now and I really want something. lol

I have an older JL I picked up a few years back. It's in a box now. But there are no numbers that match anything on google. Thinking about getting a new one. Don't think a 12 will fit under the front seat.

I have a 10 now in the back. But gonna build a center seat box for a 12 sometime soon (possibly before the get together)

I have no clue how much space the sub needs but it works for want I want it to do with the cheap sub

Looks better than my set up lol. I've got a single 10" sub in a ported box sitting in the middle of my back seat. But it was cheap enough through work and I already had an amp. It's about an inch narrower than the "middle" seat up front so I'm thinking I can replace it with the box and use a spacer to make up the difference

I'll actually be building one here hopefully next month, or august. Once i finish the purchasing side of my system, i'll be putting everything in. I've already got the a JL sub, 4 channel amp (for the speakers) and Hertz speakers all the way around, but i still need a new deck, a second amp for the sub, and the wiring. Than me and my buddy are going to build the box. actually, he is going to build it while i go to town taking out panels and rewire everything. The plan is to have the sub take up half of my rear seat (under it of course) and hopefully leave room for the amps to be over the tranny tunnel and still have space on the passenger side to put stuff there. We will see how it goes but i'll be posting up pics once i get it all in there, and pics of the begining to end install!

If you can wait, you'll see it. I've got the full compartment under my rear seat, and we are building it into there. Or at least hoping to. when we are ready we will be doing some design work, then some math and finding out if we can do it. If we can't, i'll expand the inner compartment and cut it open to however big we need, than cover up the cuts so it'll still look good when you pop up the rear seat and see whats down there. Like i said, i am "hoping" i can do it mid next month. But it might not be till mid august. depending on how quick people that owe me money pay me back. lol.
