Ok guys so I have an 01 ram sport 4x4 w/ infinity system, I just bought some JBL GTO938 max depth is 2 15/16. Will these fit in my door without a spacer? Also if I have to use a spacer does the speaker have to seal to the door or can I use a couple large nuts to space the speaker?

Not sure on depth, but you will need to seal it, you will have cancellation if you don't seal the front and rear of the speaker.
The speakers may even come with spacers. If not, any audio dealers local should have them, or even BB or Wal-Mart.

I'm running those same speakers in front doors and they clear. Also I didn't seal my speakers and they sound great
