I know its a matter of location and which sub you use for the most part. What I'm trying to decide is whether to go with a single sub or dual subs.

What have people used in their 2nd gens, where did you put it and why? My only limitation is I cannot get rid of the console for the simple fact that I actually use that spot as the intended seat still sometimes.

I've got an old MTX blue thunder I reconed behind my passenger seat with a cheapo 400w amp under the passenger seat.

Amp is where it is cause the truck was prewired for an amp in that location anyways and the sub is where it is cause I don't like the vibration on my back. BTW I have a regular cab. Sounds ok, I'm going to upgrade to a nice system with a custom box soon though

^^I had a buddy that did the same thing in his. I don't know anyone with an extended cab that's added a system that kept their center console. I'm gonna be adding something come tax return time and it'll probably be under the rear seat

You could build a box for your center console the depth of the factory seat and have the sub fire down. Then you could still use tthe seat.

I think I'm going to put mine under the rear seat considering I've already raised it up 2" to accomidate for those old skool Orion XTR12s I had until I found tears in them so in the trash they went. My only thing now is do I go with 1 sub or 2 subs under the rear seat.

Dude, do what I did and make some brackets out of 2" square tubing and raise your back seat up 2". Worked slick as **** when I did it.

I might do that. Thanks for the tip. I'm still not 100% on what I'm doing audio wise though. This is the first vehicle I've had that I haven't put money straight into the audio when I got it and I can't take the 15 year old speakers anymore lol

There's boxes that are made for under the back seat. I would go with 2 subs

Learn how to fiberglass. It's easy as pie and you can fit anything that way.

Right now, I have 2 10'' kicker cvt behind the seats and wired up my amp underneath me. I custom did the boxes. In my old ford. I put them underneath the seats. Whatever you do. Get cvt or shallow mounts. If you don't. You'll have to buy a seat riser. I got those subs and a 1600 watt 2 channel Sony xplod amp. Off eBay for under $250. I must say. Worth every penny and some. Best subs around.

Does yours actually have a storage spot under the rear seat?

I have a single box on the hump in the rear. with a single 10. I want to redo the front jump seat to put the sub in it and still use it for a seat.
My speakers' amp is under the driver seat, and my sub amp is under the passenger side.
Here is mine. 10"
