I've read plenty of threads on this issue. I noticed my truck doing it today.
Here was the situation:
I was going down the highway, and set my cruise to 65mph. RPMs were right at 2000. Eventually, every few seconds or so, it would go from 2000 to 2200 (roughly) for a quick second. At first I thought it was a quick slip, but the more I've read about it, I believe it is just the TCC locking and unlocking rapidly.
Now, I've also read that the alternator can cause this issue. I'd bring it to get tested, but I guess most places only test the overall alternator, and not specific diodes and what not internally, which I guess is the real issue. Has anybody else come across this in their truck?
