If I floor my 99 v10 it will rev up to 3k fine and stop like it hit a speed limiter. It runs a little rough/weak and gets horrible millage. I've changed plugs 02 sensors, tps and the map. I'm throwing a p0108 code for the map even though it's replaced. On a random note it ran like **** for a couple minutes but I could rev it as high as I want. Anyone got a bright idea?

Yup. These things don't have rev limiters til they hit redline.

The cats have been removed and my problem persists. At least it sound a little nicer. And there are no exhaust sensors after the cats in this truck.

I wasn't sure if it had a safe mode to prevent high rpms without a load. Since I've owned vans that won't let you scream them unless they're in gear so if the position sensor dies you end up with no rpm range

Chevy does that, they dont like you revving the engine in park or neutral unless you are at speed. Since you say you replaced your o2 sensors, what brand did you use, there are some that our trucks dont like. I can't remember if wideband o2 sensors cause problems.
