Hello everyone, question... I have a 94 1500 5.9, bone stock pu, I'm going to be buying and towing a two horse trailer, I haven't bought the trailer yet but I'm guessing between my horses, which average about 1200 a piece, and the trailer itself, the whole tow load will be 5,500-6,000 lbs, What would be the best route for extra power, a cam replacement, or steeper gears , go from 355 to 390's? also will the stock computer be compatible with a new torque profile camshaft?
Thanks

Cams really only give a small increase in power on a stock setup. You would be much better off spending the money that you would otherwise put into gears or a cam + equipment to do so, on a tune. That is by far the easiest and most effective way to increase power per dollar.

If he didnt have an obd1, he could tune for it. Gears, definitely.
