Im gettin a rear today from a local junk yard for my truck and I figured to prevent this next rear from blowin im goin to take the diff cover off, drain it and spray the inside real good with brake parts cleaner, and then put new fluid in. But how much fluid do i need and what weight should i use? Its the limited slip rear as well.

The 9.25 based on my experience holds approx 2.45L so if you buy 3 qts you will have enough as for fluid type I will let someone else chime in.

I would do synthetic 75w-90 it will do best with protection and for most people 75w-140 is unneeded and that way if it has LSD you don't have to worry about it being too thick.
