Ok I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 5.9l and am experiencing a noise that is hard to explain other than when you hold the automatic door lock and hear the noise from that. It is coming from the engine, checked all pulleys not them. Not power steering pump, didn't start making this noise until the timing chain cover was leaking. It does this at idle. Can't tell exactly where it's coming from but sounds like the center of the engine. I am at a loss with this issue. Thank you in advance.

You might have to upload a video to youtube and link it here.

Going off my own memory of the last time I listened to my door lock motors stalling out, i'd start by checking out the water pump and fan clutch. Other than that, i'm at a loss going by the description given.

strange noises can come from:
Belt tensioner, look him with the engine running, had this on my Land Rover
A/C clutch can make a clack noise
Timing chaing tensioner (if your engine has one) (as it appears after the valve cover leaked)

Check if the noise get faster when you accelerate
