Looking at 2012 or newer Cummins. I notice some have the electronic switch for 4x4 and some have the lever on the floor. Pros and cons for both? Are they actually differences in the transmissions?

I don't believe there are any difference in the transmissions. Just one has a manual transfer case the other electronic. Mine has the electric and so far never had an issue.

I think its more a matter of opinion. Only con with the electronic 4x4 is that sometimes the electronic part of it goes out. Very rarely but it does happen.
