I bought a 2013 Ram Laramie longhorn 6.7 diesel dually used with 50332 miles. I love this truck. Since buying it ( about 2.5 months) I have put just over 3000 miles on it. I don't pull anything right now. The DEF gauge has not moved off full since the day I brought it home.
This cant be normal can it? Anyone have thoughts on this or am I just looking for trouble?

The CTD doesn't use much DEF when not towing, your probably fine if you haven't thrown any codes. Normal DEF usage is about 1-2% of the amount of fuel burned.
The DEF tank sending unit isn't very linear either, the top and bottom of the tank moves slower than the middle. It's not a float either, uses an ultrasonic detection of the fluid level.

Thanks

Thanks Crash. I think I will keep some DEF on hand just to be on the safe side.
I appreciate your time.
