Well as for the Cummins swap just make sure to get all the match computers and wiring for that engine (PCM and ECM).

I don't knock the idea of adding power to the truck but there seems to be a bell curve between longevity and failures... I would say 400-500 HP is a good range to consider without needing a huge amount of mods to the rest of the truck.
