If you have mucho $$$ and skills...it's better in the long run, just to buy a Cummins truck.

Damn near everything. Beef up front suspension, more frame support, motor mounts, computer, tranny, driveshaft, rear end possibly.

you could always put a 4bt in it rather than a 6bt. would be a little lighter. i think you would be better off just getting a 3/4 ton with a diesel in it already.

Welcome to RF. The above posts are pretty true. Unless you have a pristine Gen II, no rust, perfect interior etc, you'd very likely be better off just buying a 2500.

That being said, if you're adventurous, it can be done, and most all of it will 'bolt in'

You will spend just as much doing the diesel swap as buying a cummins at the same age of your truck .

Keep both ?!?

If you can't dodge it RAM it !

Honestly if you paid the full 6k that guy took you like no Tomo with 294,*** on it . I hope it has new everything . With that being said your better off buying a cummins equipped truck already .
