Considering replacing the factory shocks with aftermarket.
Truck has factory suspension, leafs, no lift.
Has anyone replaced the factory shocks? How do they compare, and what brand did you use?
I am leaning towards Rancho 7k, or 9k series.
I do tow occasionally, 10k toy hauler.

I'm guessing anything would probably be better than stock.

Bilstein seem to be a popular shock to go with.
I've been running Thuren overlands and I like them. I need to replace one of them so I will be going back to Fox shorlty.

i was in the same boat with my dually. stock suspension, with no intentions of a lift or level. i went with the KYB monomax's. inexpensive and they ride great. i was a little hesistant on them at first, but theres tons of great reviews on them.

It appears they don't make HD shocks. Couldn't find anything on their site or summit.

The wait begins.

Rears are installed, no noticeable difference at this point, and didn't really anticipate any.
Waiting for dude to install fronts this weekend.

Front installation in 2.5 hrs for $80. :roflsquared:
The ride is slightly firmer.
The most apparent differences is when a bump causes the truck to rock side to side. With stock shocks this motion rocked me to and fro more than once, now it is one motion and back to level, much more controlled.

Front to back there is no more porpoising.

Not completely sold that it was worth the $$.
Towing 10k lbs 400 miles this coming weekend hoping better results.

Honestly, the 4600's color is ugly, and would stick out like 4 zits on a super model.:puke:

I cannot seem to find the link either, I also have a 3500 dually and I really need something to improve ride quality. When I go on the link it only shows shocks for 2014 1500 and 2013 1500 and 2500, no 3500 or 3500 drw?

After my trip towing this last week I have to say these shocks are amazing compared to the oem garbage. Wish I would have done this 13k miles ago.
Everything is so much more controlled.

Hey Guys,
I am looking to upgrade my stock shocks on my '14 2500HD Cummins CCSB 4X4...

Went to the KYB web site and had difficulty finding the "shock application" for my model year and truck. Finally found it in the Parts Catalog.

Problem is, entered the year ('14), make (RAM), and then went to enter the model and only option is "1500".

So I went back and selected 2013 for the year and then 2500 shows up. Not sure if those shocks for 2013 will work on a 2014 as the '14s have coil spring suspension on the rear.

I am going to look into this further...
