1998.5 dodge cummings quit running, put on new rebuilt injection pump,lift pump ,cam sensor,crank senor, throttle senors,and starter relay. ran for a couple of miles now very hard to start but will not keep running, and is rough at idle. can u help

code error

1998.5 cummings have a code error from factory, if so how can u find it ?

May need to check the timing (crank sesnor and injection pump). If the crank sensor is off even a little bit, it will throw the timing off enough it will be VERY hard to start and will give you the other symptoms you have as well.

Make sure you didn't bend the bracket for the crank sensor, and you may need to redo the injection pump timing.

Sounds like the gear on the front of the pump may have slipped.

Hard starting is a sign of air in the fuel .. park the truck down hill ... if it starts up the next day you have air in the fuel .. check the injectors , seals tubes .
