i recently installed a tool box/fuel tank combo 60/gal.
when filled up ,my stock truck tank leaks out of top somewhere. it is gravity fed with kit that came with box/with a shut off valve. do i have to keep valve closed until i need fuel? i always was told as long as filler stayed tight on truck it was ok. is there a hose/air vent on truck tank that is letting extra run out.

the vent line should go to some sort of emission equipment. sound like you need to see about locating the leak. can't really help you find it without seeing the truck. with how new it is it should not be leaking. could possibly be a seal or grommet that is leaking.
