What is the best way for me to restore the black abs plastic (door and tailgate handles, bumper covers etc) on my 2nd gen ram?

I have used Adams VRT on my handles and wiper cowl. It removed the oxidation and made them black again. It is also beads water like wax does.

I used megiriers(idk how to spell it) dash and trim restorer. Like $5 and it worked like a charm! It looks brand new.

If you do not need to replace the part and want to make your pieces look like new just apply tire shine on a tire sponge. Its a cheap solution

I'd try some mothers back to black. It might take a few applications of it, but it's some of the better stuff I've used

A head gun and a quick hand.... Thats what boat resto's use.

I used this method to restore a set of 95 & 96 Seadoo XP's. They had sat in the elements uncovered for the past five years.

Heres a couple pics from a jetski mag that shows the outcome of a resto, using the same method. Only the grips, seat cover, and handle bar cover was replaced.

i second mothers back to black had good results with that and seems to last the longest out of the stuff i used, and i used to have a chevy avalanche with a crap load of plastic trim on it so i have used it all it seems lol

There's some stuff that comes in a liquid shoe polish type applicator called "Forever Black." It lasts longer than back to black.
