Sure, you could use that, if you like to scratch the sh*t outta your paint :)

Good quality microfibre washmit, 2 bucket method with grit guards and a good wash soap (Adams/Sonax) will be your best friends :)

I use a brush but it will wear the clearcoat after a number of years..we wash our chevys at least once a week with highly abrasive soap and brushes but never had a paint scratch it just looks like we took sandpaper to the truck lol

Why would you use a soap with abrasives in it?!

The trucks drive about 1000 miles a week through many jobsites through all kinds of **** and regular fufu soap that most of us use to make our trucks pretty simply does not take the road grime off very well..not my trucks nor my decision to use that soap we just wash em when theyre dirty lol

If you use a brush, then you should also plan to buy a good buffer and some good polish to remove all the scratches you put into your paint. As was written above, a good microfiber mitt, 2 bucket wash method and some good automotive soap and a cool surface and you'll be set.

Quicker than a sponge and doesnt hold dirt as much plus they make extremely soft bristle brushes for doing it..its not like a snow brush or a broom lol

I use a microfiber brush... Works great. Doesn't leave nearly as many scratches as going off roading in my new Limited

I guess the bottom line is you can use anything you like to clean your truck. When you want to talk about how to do paint correction for scratches, come on back and we'll have another conversation about that.

I use a brush and works just fine. It aint a show truck. Its meant to drive. While driving aint no one gonna see the itty bitty scratches. You will catch rock chips worse than a brush will ever do

I moved to a new development about a year ago and the area has constantly been under construction, every time it rains it looks like my truck was off-road. I always refused to use a brush at the wand wash, id spend $10 using the high pressure hose and soap and my truck would dry and look filthy. I ended up using the brush twice to get it clean, my black paint now looks like ass, swirl marks as if my paint is 5+ years old!

If were talking about brushes at self serve car wash then no i would never use those. I have a personal one that stays clean after every use

Oh yeah black sucks to maintain though..only looks prestine the day you drive it off the lot and after that is a constant battle to avoid paint damage..ive never seen a several year old black truck without paint swirls..no offence nick but have you seen an 07-13 black silverado? The paint is one giant swirl almost..looks like **** in a year

And no i am talking my personal use brush...i dont use my brush on work trucks or vice versa..why does this have to be so difficult? They make micro fiber brushes that are softer than sponges its really a matter of how diligently you take care of your truck

Ive got an 04 3500 with not a swirl on it....nothing. When you know the proper way to take care of a black truck, i.e. wash, dry, paint correct, maintain, etc. its not that hard. Just be prepared to put in a little more work to get it done.

Polish and a buffer. Then a sealant and then a wax-----then stop using brushes. IMHO

Been using a brush on my vehicles since I started driving. My '06 Charger still looks perfect. As long as the brush is cleaned and has a pressure of fluid pushing outward and you use it properly, there is no problem using one.
