I used glare. Alittle expensive, but the snow didn't even stick to it. I guess I am pretty happy with it

i haven't used a wax in many years. I use sealants as they last twice as long as most waxes except one, and they're easy to apply and remove. You can always add wax on top of the sealant, but not the other way around.

I'm a huge fan of Zymol. The wax and the detailer works great on the truck and my Harley's

Another fan of Liquid Glass! I've been a user of Mothers for years and recently a friend told me about Liquid Glass. Very easy to use and I love the look of the paint after using it.

whoa, so I'm a closet OCD detailer. I spend alot of time washing and detailing my truck and my car, I normally only ever use what i can get over the counter at my local shop.. Turtle wax ice, auto glym, mothers, meguires, etc. As of late i have been a huge fan of the meguires ultimate quik wax, and the auto glym aqua wax.

Thi sthread introduced me to The Chemical Guys, needless to say I am overwhelmed, and excited a bit. I have no idea what i should look at purchasing. I normally use turtle wax ice wash to wash, hand dry with a goat skin chmois, and then detail with whatever spray wax/detailer i feel like using. I normally dont have a whole loto of time to detail so it usually has to be quick, would you guys recommend the V07 detail and sealant as a better alternative to what i am practicing? Im looking for better protection and longer lasting shine etc, but do not have the time to get into claying, polishing, waxing, sealing. With the weather where i am i am lucky to get a full day on a weekend to detail...

I have been using Meguairs NXT wax for years but I'm surprised by their claims that it is a sealant. The 2.0 works very well and comes off easy. Water beads real high with the paste wax in the can but it does not last but about 3 months. I will do a baseline on the new Ram to see how long it lasts and how it looks. Most likely I will strip it off before winter and put on Griot's paint sealant. You know, for those blistering cold Houston winters...

Just bought my 2012 RAM 1500 and whoever waxed it before me left swirls all over it. My question is how do I get the swirls out?

Swirls are small scratches. Only way to remove is to polish. Wax can sometimes fill the swirls and make them slightly less noticeable, but they are still there.

You will probably think I am crazy, but I run my 2017 Ram 1500 through a brush less car wash at least, and I do me an at least every two weeks. I use Meguiar's Ultimate Quik spray wax, Meguiar's Ultimate Quik detailer, 303 interior detailing wipes, and the 303 Tonneau cover cleaner and the truck looks great all the time. Could I do better yes, but the price I pay in joint pain (disabled Vet) is not worth it. I started using this combo on my old 2010 Kia Rio and it looked almost brand new for eight years, then my son totaled it.

I use the Klasse twins, in the winter I use the twins followed with a coat of collinte 845. Lasts all winter looks great a shine you could shave with . Klasse is time consuming but it lasts a long time and looks great for at least 6 months . Truck is outside 24/7.

Although I still love a classic wax most companies are fucused on newer technologies such as ceramic or SI02 silica sealants. If your on a budget and want the best bang for your buck I would recommend Sonax net shield. Remember, the most important part of a coating/wax or sealant is the prep. For this I would recommend carpro essence, which is used as a jeweling polish and primer for the sealant/wax or coating to bond to. In my experience, Sonax netshield can last from 6mos to a year depending on weather conditions creating beads and sheeting and providing superior UV protection. Just my .2
