My antenna base had severely discolored and I wanted to bring it back a little. At the same time I was looking for something to bring back my door handles. I used the antenna base as a test spot.

It went on pretty easy with a foam brush. It took 3 thin coats and one touch up coat for a few bad spots the were more discolored.

My only complaint is that it has a plasticine finish to it. Not sure I would use on my bumper. I am going to give Showroom New Restorer Black a shot next. But the pictures are what it looks like.

7/28/12 update

I dyed the fading plastic between the windshield and hood where the wipers sit. The hard plastic took it well. The soft rubber edges look good but i did see a couple flakes. I may scrub and uses 303 protectant instead on the soft rubber

I was using it as a test subject to decide if I wanted to dye the door handles too.

I believe dyeing it will last longer in Arizona than paint. Only time will tell. The best way would be to buy the antenna base, it would be cheaper than spray paint.

Looks great but why didn't you just take off the antena base?

It was just as easy to put tape around it, no particular reason.

best part about the antenna base. If you screw it up, its 75 cents. LOL
