I'm in the mood to upgrade from my old PC 7424 that's been long in service and I'm passing it on to my brother and will be replacing it with a new polisher and I'm down to the 'upgraded' PC 7424xp starter kit from Chemical Guys with the hexlogic pads that I've heard amazing things about and the Adam's Cyclo starter kit.

Now, I'm familiar with the PC 7424 and know there's a decent amount of vibration but it was never a bother or an issue for long durations, but the Cyclo claims to have no vibration. Cyclo has both a wider (8") and narrow (4") polishing path which seems like a not bad idea, and the PC is a standard 5" round that I've used for years and am very comfortable using.

I want to know if the Cyclo is SOOOO much better that it justifies the almost double price difference between the two starter kits. I don't care about "Made in the USA", so that's not a selling feature at all. Is there a big weight difference between the two that would make a difference on the large vertical panels on our trucks?

A shiny one
The Cyclo is a MASSIVE upgrade over the PC, in every possible way!

It's versatility (running it vertical or horizontal) may seem awkward, until you use it for the first time and you realize how great it is at not only covering large panels, but smaller areas like A and B pillars, bumpers, etc. In this scenario, you're essentially doing two focused 4" passes, one right after the other, which means very quick correction.

It weighs in just over 6lbs and the PC is 5.5lbs I believe, so the difference is pretty negligible.

Another bonus with the Cyclo is that since you already have a stock of 4" pads to use with it, you can use then with a 4" backing plate with a drill as well for heavy spot correction. Those size pads are the only ones you'll need for any correction you'll need to perform.

And lastly, your timing is impeccable. Today's Daily Special is sweet, especially on a machine kit! Use the code SEVENTEEN before noon Mountain Time to save 17% off, which is a pretty nice chunk of change on any of the machine kits!

That's a solid discount!

If i didn't just buy my Rupes Bigfoot 21 a couple months ago, I would definitely checkout the Cyclo.

Thanks Nick. A $70 difference is a lot better than a $140 difference and that makes the decision a lot easier to try something new, we'll see if the free shipping even works to Canada the way it's set up on the website.
